Worshiping God or Worshiping Money: The Modern Day Sin

What is the most committed sin of modern times? The breaking of the First Commandment: placing money before God.

In this Channel Higher Self video teaching we examine how our modern society has placed money and material wealth over God and spirituality. This video presents far more than a philosophical debate or sociological argument. Instead, you are presented with information that will help you to reflect on your own experience to understand the very subtle ways that you honor money, wealth and material possession more than you honor God and spirituality.

For example, when you meet a new person, do you immediately recognize that he/she is a creation of God and that he/she is sacred? Or does your mind assess this person’s physical appearance – his/her clothing, car, shoes, jewelry, job and status – to form your opinion of this person. Does this person’s material appearance affect how you treat him/her? Do you hold back your Love from this person because of the way he/she looks, speaks or behaves?

Also in this spiritual video teaching, you will be educated on the development of the material wealth and possession system (the financial system), examining how it first began in humanity and how it became an irrefutable system and worldwide law. Learn how the personal ego has at it’s core the belief in separation, which then breeds the ego’s desire to control the external environment and other people. This is a powerful Higher Self video that will make you look at your self and what you are creating in your life.

Many blessings and much Love!

  1. Lee says:

Love and blessings to you, Lincoln. For a long time money has seemed to me, in essence, totally imaginary, obviously “made up.” I would prefer a world where you just give everything that is within you to give, without desire or need for any return and, by extension, the world’s abundance is yours because others have done likewise. One thing that has afflicted me is having spent a lot of time working for very little reward in occupations which really meant so little to me. In your money series, I would like to invite higher self to address the following issue: “if, under the present circumstances, money is practically necessary, what is the highest understanding about how we “earn” it, or how it can come to us?
It is easy to say “earn it through something you love,” but perhaps higher self will have deeper detail and understanding surrounding that.

    Happiness to you, Lincoln.

  2. Lincoln says:

Thank you Lee. You can try watching my video “Should we struggle for money if we don’t believe in it?”.

Ultimately each person is being guided from within as to how to live a happy, fulfilling life in harmony with God and Love. When a person is able to honor and act upon their inner guidance, then the finances will be taken care of as he/she shares his/her gifts in this world. I have seen this in my own life and in the lives of many others. We must trust our inner guidance and have the courage to walk it’s talk, only then can we dispel our mind’s doubts about the abundance of God. Blessings and Love.

  3. Adrienne says:

Lincoln, this message from Higher Self was a real reminder to me about the sacredness of life and how we should live and share it. Many times we get so caught up on the various physical forms in this incarnation that we lose sight of living in ‘this’ moment. Instead I often find myself looking in the past and to the future through egoic thoughts. Money and possessions can make our physical lives more comfortable, but this is temporary. They do not bring us lasting love, joy, peace, and fulfillment like living in awareness of one consciousness and focusing on the silence within, which is our true essence. This message reminds me to continue to focus on love and not to follow thoughts about lack because all of my needs are and will be met. I will let these thoughts go and remind myself to focus on the silence and stillness that exists within me throughout each day.
