Because the Higher Self perceives us as eternal souls and our physical bodies as temporary containers, is the death penalty understood differently? Are there soul-level benefits for the death penalty – like exiting a difficult lifetime more quickly? Are there benefits for the world if criminals are removed from the earth at a faster rate? When viewed from an eternal perspective, is the death penalty morally wrong?
