  1. Wynona says:

A question that often baffles my mind sometimes is “Should I stay in this situation because another deserves my unconditional love, or should I leave a situation because I deserve unconditional love?” My heart says that I should leave any situation that is not serving my Higher Self. Another may deserve my love, but I cannot sacrifice myself or force myself to change for another. Why would I stay in a situation that did not serve me if I was not looking for approval? I wouldn’t. It is only when we love ourselves enough to honour our ego’s fears and emotional pain, no matter how superficial they may be, that we are able to rise above our ego. We must love and accept our ego for what it is, a structure that we designed to protect us and keep us safe. I am no longer going to fight against may ego, but thank it for always doing the best it could. I know that I do not need my ego, but if it ever continues to pop up in the future, I will thank it and send it my love.

  2. Lincoln says:

If a person is in a situation that harms him/herself, but appears to help another – it is a good chance that the other person is not truly being helped. This is called “enabling” behaviors and is common in when dysfunction and addictive behaviors are present.

In situations that are confusing, it is helpful to ask oneself, “what choice will create the best outcome for all parties involved (or all of life everywhere)?” This will often lead us to the solution that truly supports everyone’s spiritual path.

It is very common that people confuse emotional addiction, desires for approval, self-importance, and guilt as being love.

It is a very fine line that we walk when working with our ego. Yes, the ego has in-built self-preservation mechanisms, however all ego behaviors must be given up as we progress spiritually. Fear itself is not something to cling to, even if it makes one feel safe. This is only an illusion that keeps us in suffering and lack.

It is wisest to see all ego behaviors as part of the illusory ego structure. Do not elevate those that protect you as being great and those that cause apparent suffering as being bad. This will only take you deeper into confusion as you reinforce something that has no inherent reality. We create our egos by acting through them and believing them to be real. When we stop treating the ego as reality, it vanishes.

All learning takes time. Live with an open heart, but watch how your mind projects it’s thoughts onto your reality. Blessings and Love.

  3. Wynona says:

Yes, I definitely to not want to cling to my fears or continue to act upon them, but I have been trying to remove them through denial and condeming myself for having them in the first place. When I feel connected to my Higher Self, I am able to send love to that fearful part of me, and accept myself just as I am in the present moment. I definitely am able to recongize when I am letting my fears control me, but I do make mistakes sometimes and I need to continue to forgive myself.

Thank you for your insight. It is best to walk away from those types of situations so all parties can grow spiritually.

  4. Lincoln says:

Let the energy of Love itself do the healing. It is best to not add thoughts into this process, but to stay in the energy itself. The energy is pure and far more powerful than our own ego can be.

Ultimately inner silence is the state of awakening. So the less we create thought and the more we generate Love, the more effective our spiritual awakening will be.

You are doing great. With each step we take, we learn more and more.

    Blessings and Love,

    ~ Lincoln
